Be merciful to me and hear my prayer..
let's sing tonight
Posted by: Ed G.
In the shadow of your wings I take refuge, till harm pass by…
There are many people I know who are taking refuge tonight. Refuge from sickness, lonliness, unemployment, addiction, anxiety. But tonight Lord, instead of praying for help, or comfort or aid... I just feel like singing your praise.
My heart is steadfast, O God,
my heart is steadfast;
I will sing and make music.
Awake, my soul!
Awake, harp and lyre!
I will awaken the dawn.
I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples.
For great is your love, reaching to the heavens;
your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
let your glory be over all the earth.
(From Psalm 57)
Will you sing with me tonight?
Amen

Ed, this afternoon I was in Psalm 57 for a Bible Study I'm leading.... I love this, and so glad we are singing His praises in prayer today!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Wanda, my cousin's daughter posted the first line as her FB status yesterday, so I take it many voices joined in the chorus of praise.
ReplyDeleteWorship has often been a place of refuge for me.. so often He speaks to me in that place of refuge.
